The funniest thing

Living in a home with so many people isn't always the funnest thing. you've got having to share your room, your sickies, your clothes, everything you have. There are those times when it is so fun though, you could not have a laugh fest when it's time for prayer with only 2 or 3 people( well not a good one), some more would be building snowmen, making mud pies, yanking leaves off of your guela's tree and bushes to make food, and just sharing time with others. Then because you have a large family there are also a lot of instances when you just plain embarace yourself and everyone remembers it.

Whatever the case may be there is never a dull moment in a hime with a big family. A funny thing that happened the other day was fighting. When doesn't it happen with a big family. Anyway, Olivia and Rachel were fighting and I'm thinking here we go again!! So the next thing I hear come out of Olivia's mouth is "Mom, she keeps fighting with me!" and then to Rachel " You're supposed to slow down so I can hit you!" Funniest thing I ever heard. Never ends. Not that my family is big, but it's all relevant.

SICK!!

Well everybody is sick, Yeah!!! Probably not. It does one good thing, let's me get things done because they don't feel well enough to make a mess all over the place. The only problem with this idea is that I don't feel well either. So when I could get things done, I am left sick and taking care of sickies. Not the most awesome combination, but we are hanging in there. Hopefully if we are all sick, then we will get over it faster. I hope so. Lots of naps, healthy food and liquids.

General Conference at home

I love going to church and watching the General Conference, but I think I get much more out of it by watching it at home. The kids go and do their thing and we get to watch and be edified by the speakers. I feel this is very important especially for parents of really young children. It is such a boost of energy to feel the spirit, and grow and learn from the leaders of the church. Just helps me get through the week anytime I go to church and grow from the spirit. My kids are not old enough to sit through 2 hours and even if they sat through it would they even understand? Maybe. They however have done rather well today, because as much as they don't sit still to listen, they have stayed in the livingroom for the most part quietly, and on occasions have asked questions about who the speaker is, which leaves it open for other discussion. They have also sat through the long prayers and actually folded their arms through the whole thing. I guess we just have to look for the positive. I love my family, and I have grown a little bit today, by their example. They will learn as they grow, and I can tell that they are all going to be great kids and even better adults. No need to push and be aggressive, they need to do out of love, not for me, but for the Savior! I hope I can instill in them the love for the Savior that I have felt. Then they can do and change the way they need to, because they will love him and they will feel his love for them, inspiring them to be better.
