General Conference at home

I love going to church and watching the General Conference, but I think I get much more out of it by watching it at home. The kids go and do their thing and we get to watch and be edified by the speakers. I feel this is very important especially for parents of really young children. It is such a boost of energy to feel the spirit, and grow and learn from the leaders of the church. Just helps me get through the week anytime I go to church and grow from the spirit. My kids are not old enough to sit through 2 hours and even if they sat through it would they even understand? Maybe. They however have done rather well today, because as much as they don't sit still to listen, they have stayed in the livingroom for the most part quietly, and on occasions have asked questions about who the speaker is, which leaves it open for other discussion. They have also sat through the long prayers and actually folded their arms through the whole thing. I guess we just have to look for the positive. I love my family, and I have grown a little bit today, by their example. They will learn as they grow, and I can tell that they are all going to be great kids and even better adults. No need to push and be aggressive, they need to do out of love, not for me, but for the Savior! I hope I can instill in them the love for the Savior that I have felt. Then they can do and change the way they need to, because they will love him and they will feel his love for them, inspiring them to be better.
